I’ve played Overwatch since release (XB1 and PC) and I’ve been hooked to it ever since! My girlfriend (who I actually met playing Overwatch) has been into esports for longer and my first taste of Professional Overwatch was last years World Cup. I’ve always been skeptical about esports and haven’t really been exposed to it much before. But knowing the mechanics of the game inside out combined with fantastic presentation that Blizzard have invested made it an experience that rubbed off on NBA Live Mobile Coins.
When I found out that the Overwatch League was being founded I was super excited and decided to start following it. Although the match times aren’t great for us anymore (living in England) me and my girlfriend still manage to watch all the matches on demand. It’s now a part of our life and I couldn’t be more thankful for the standard set by everyone involved.
Yeah that's the 1 thing I missed off my wishlist, EU friendlier times for the matches. I know midweek it's tough to get a time that fits all but I'd love to be able to watch a few live over the weekend and think it's doable.
That's the trouble with such a worldwide fanbase though it's literally impossible to please everyone so I don't hold it against them at all.
They were okay in stage 1 but after they shifted back slightly it means it’s impossible to watch any midweek games live, and I can only realistically watch one of the weekend games live per night. I don’t hold it against them though just wished they cater more to Europeans with friendlier times and an EU OWL store. Oh the amount of things I would buy if I could without having to pay on import tax after!
I like Semmler and Hex most I think but not by much, they all have good value. Monte is damn good too, his knowledge of the Korean scene can be interesting. He's able to give a bit of back story to the players which I always appreciate.
The crew in front of camera and casters manage to make it all feel professional but relaxed and not stuffy at the same time, which is no mean feat.
